Wycliffe Singapore desires to support our partner organisations in the region by helping their members improve their English. This will build capacity by making it easier for them to communicate with multinational teams and write reports. Mother-tongue translators will also benefit if they are able to read commentaries and resources which are mainly in English.

About the role:

There will usually be two teachers assigned to each class. Lessons (1 hour each) will be conducted twice a week on Zoom. Each pair of teachers may arrange between themselves to teach together or take alternate lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans and conduct the lessons on Zoom.

• Design lessons which focus more on oral communication than formal grammar.

Requirements:

• A committed Christian who desires to serve God in the area of missions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience teaching English to second-language speakers and a TESOL qualification would be an advantage.

• Able to commit to teaching for a minimum of 3 months.
