Project start date: 2016

To develop and implement WT education materials from kindergarten to Grade 5 in about 12 government schools, gradually bridging from the WT language to the national language and English.
To develop and implement bilingual literacy classes for the illiterate parents of the students in the programme.
Adoption of the WT multilingual education materials in other villages where WT is spoken
Better school performance by WT children
Literacy for WT adults, improvement in standard of living
Readiness to read and understand WT Scriptures for spiritual growth and transformation
The WT people live in remote villages that are only accessible by hiking. The cold climate means that crops don’t grow well, and people often fall ill. The women are illiterate or poorly educated.
The villages are entirely WT, so the children can only speak or understand WT when they enter school. Since they don’t know the national language, they don’t do well in school.
Note: There is a separate project doing Bible translation and Scripture engagement with the WT people.
