Facilitate Scripture engagement and literacy activities by other partners.
The Hanecam project comprises 3 language groups who are farmers in the highlands of a Southeast Asian country. An animistic society, the people appease the spirits with animal sacrifices and food taboos. Many adopt aspects of Buddhism.
Christianity was first introduced in 1995. Hanecam Christians have abandoned animal sacrifice, divination and other aspects of animism in their daily lives. Currently fewer than 3% of the Hanecam people are Christian.
