About The Event

Topic: Me? A Missionary?

Speaker: Josh Matsumaru

How do skills in education, healthcare, aviation, construction, shipping, etc. assist in translating the Bible? There are so many ways to support Bible translators as they bring God’s Word to unreached people groups in their languages! For example, Josh, a Japanese missionary, taught sports at the secondary school campus of an international school in Papua New Guinea, while his wife taught art and helped other teachers at the primary school campus.

Come hear the story of how Josh used his gifts and professions to serve God and other missionaries in the mission field!

About the speaker:

Josh Matsumaru, a missionary from Japan, served in Papua New Guinea for over 15 years. During his time there, he and his wife helped support Bible translation work by teaching at an international school for missionary kids (MKs).

Both of his children grew up in Papua New Guinea. Josh and his family returned to Japan in 2014, and he has been serving as the Executive Director of Wycliffe Bible Translators Japan since 2017.
