Communities in most parts of the world are now multilingual, with education provided in the national language. Research has shown that children of ethnic minorities do better in school if are introduced to literacy in their mother tongue first, gradually transitioning to the national language. These multilingual education programmes are usually developed to be part of the national education system.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the team to design the curriculum and develop resources.

• Collaborate with other stakeholders, including local authorities, to plan and implement the programme.

• Train local teachers to use the curriculum and resources.

• Write reports and maintain documentation of the program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field.

• Previous cross-cultural experience is beneficial.

• Other training may be required by individual projects.
